this is a environmental portrait giving off the depressing effect of the lady on her death bed. She is about to die and it is a very sad moment in this persons life. The lighting is a natural coming from the window and reflecting off of the white blanket.

i read about 15 min. and i found a really great poem that i liked called justice.

Justice

That Justice is a blind goddessIs a thing to which we black are wise:Her bandage hides two festering soresThat once perhaps were eyes.

#27 Entertainment Weekly (May 2, 2003) The Dixie Chicks appear naked on this cover of Entertainment Weekly with slogans such as “Boycott,” “Traitors,” “Hero” and “Proud Americans” printed on their bodies. Two months before, member Natalie Maines criticized the impending invasion of Iraq by President George Bush at a concert in London. This remark sparked intense criticism from many Americans who subsequently boycotted The Dixie Chicks music and concerts. In their interview with Entertainment Weekly, the group discussed their reaction to the criticism and what lies ahead for them in the country music industry.

My critique
This cover has really good lighting and the portrait looks really good everything just kinda matches. it is communicated that these girls are facing something that most people cant face. they show that its ok to be yourself. This cover was hard to decide whether it is informal or environmental because it tells people about the message that is within i decided to make it environmental because they were nude but then again environmental is all about the message and not the people but on this cover it is saying that the people are the message.

october 23rd

on october 23
the hardest thing about shooting pictures was getting close because of the fear of getting hit in the face.

i found myself thinking alot about rule of thirds and repition and lines.

i would get into a knealing position to make the photo look like i took it from the ground.

This person used 600 mm length of the lens and the shutter speed was 2000 this person got a real clear shot of what they were shooting for and the aperture was 5.o it had a bigger opening si it was clear up close and blury in the back he was standing behing the fence while shooting this picture.
